Other than pictures of family members, my focus lately has been birds and various macro photography. I'm trying to get some good shots of birds in flight, to enter in a photography contest, but my camera, while decent, isn't really up to the task. Not yet anyway. I've had TONS of birds flying over my house (Turkey buzzards mainly, which has been a little creepy. Especially when they've been perching by the dozens in the trees around my house. It makes me feel like they're waiting for me to keel over dead or something. lol), but I haven't been able to get a good shot of them because I can't focus on them quickly enough with the camera zoomed in to it's full 15x optical zoom (they move out of frame to quickly.) And if I DO manage to catch one, it's so blury that it isn't worth keeping. Still, I keep trying, and maybe I'll get lucky and get a good shot or two of something.

Right now I'm waiting for the cardinals and songbirds around my house to realize that I've filled the bird feeder in the backyard. Once they start visiting that, I hope to have some better shots of them to post on here. I'm probably going to take some more duck pictures at the local park tomorrow though. Maybe I'll get something different this time, because I'm sure you're all tired of seeing what appears to be the same duck in every piture. *g*
